About the Director
Miss Renee Simone
At the age of 7 my parents got tired of me constantly playing records in the lounge room so they put the record player in my bedroom and that’s where it all began. I discovered from a very young age that I could change my mood with different kinds of music. I would lie on the floor with the lights off and melt to the voices of the soul and jazz divas. I bopped around to the Motown classics, I belted along to Whitney, Janet, Technotronic and Salt’n’Pepa. At the age of 10 I was making mix tapes for my friends to help them to stop feeling sad.
Intrigued by the power of this energetic alchemy I went to university to study ‘Arts in Healing and Learning’. I discovered how creativity can be used to cultivate wellness and unblock learning barriers. I went on to do a degree in ‘Occupational Therapy’ – The science of using activity to rehabilitate people through their physical and mental health challenges.
I travelled the world working as a Neuro Therapist supporting people of all ages and cultures to shift blockages and come closer to wellness with the use of creative activities.
After arriving in Byron Bay in 2003 I worked with disengaged teenagers as an Activity Coordinator.
The Art of Partying
Over the weekends I worked on events as a singer and DJ. As I witnessed hundreds of events some excellent, some horrible, I began my journey to create a company that knows how to throw an amazing event.
My mission – To tailor make creative experiences to encourage any type of client no matter what age or background, to come together. For guests to leave feeling more nurtured, more inspired and more elated because of their experience.
The BBe team
In the early days I did all of the admin myself as well as performing every weekend. I got to the stage where I realised I myself wasn’t living the Byron Bay Experience. I realised that THAT in itself was the most important thing to me as a human so I enlisted the help of two magnificent women.
Around our event schedules, weekends are spent going out for breaky, frolicking on the beach, bike rides, waterfall hikes, dancing and cocktails. Watch our instagram stories to pop your head in!

We are happy humans because firstly we live in paradise and we make sure we appreciate it everyday!
Secondly, we have a policy of good vibes only. Our team, our venues, our suppliers and our performers are all long standing work colleagues because they are drama free, driven, creative, fun loving professionals who constantly strive to offer excellence.
Thirdly we strongly believe in the work life not balance but BLEND. We think outside of the box about how the workplace needs to operate. Equipped with laptops and discipline we get everything done whilst sitting in the sun on the back deck or poolside in our favourite luxury resorts.

Lisa’s Superpower: Systems! Lisa revels in spreadsheets and gets excited about tick and flick. Her systems are meticulous so nothing will ever fall through the cracks.

The delightful Kendall comes from a background in hospitality.
Kendall has a big heart for customer service and is perfect for meet and greets with wedding couples.
