Sample Food Festival

Bangalow Show Grounds
Farmers, producers, chefs and a whole range of creative individuals from all corners of the region, come together to share their wares, their passion and their knowledge.
Each year foodies from far and wide have the opportunity to “sample” the best food and beverage, Northern New South Wales has to offer.
The region’s top restaurants will also compete for the coveted “Gold Fork” awards and collaborate on a special luncheon.
Brunswick Picture House
Friday 27th September and Saturday 28th September
The team behind the Cheeky Cabaret and the Brunswick Picture House have been touring circus/cabaret/variety shows internationally over the last 14 years. Bold and brash, sexy and dangerous, with tongue placed firmly in cheek, this is one party you will not want to miss! Check it out this month!
Sunday 1st September 8am-2pm
Byron Bay’s Community Market, held on the beachfront, is one of the best in the region. Covering several acres, the market offers a vast array of handcrafted wares, locally-grown produce, and artworks of every kind. It’s best to get there early and allow a few hours to take in all the stalls, indulge in some fresh food and culture.
Stallholders, in their eye-catching colourful splendour, are a spectacle in themselves. Rainbows, sparkles and angel wings seem to be the ‘uniform’, making you feel as if you truly are in a magical world.
Check out our favourite spot this month- Cosy Corner. Tucked away under the lighthouse and sheltered by the wind, grab your board and head out for some fun waves!
Our top waterfall pick for September is Protesters Falls. Located in Nightcap National Park, the World Heritage listed 1.4km return track leads you throuh the rainforest to a spectacular waterfall. Perfect spot for a picnic in the sunshine and a walk suitable for all ages.
September will be a stunner, with an average of 22º during the day and a low of 15º at night. Perfect beach weather!
The Beach Hotel brings you reggae night with the 4’20 Sound System. Go for a groove and start your week off right! Starts at 8pm every Monday.
Are you an artist or do you just enjoy doodling? Either way, head over to the Corner Palm for drop-in life drawing. Perfect for artists of all levels to unleash their creative side.
Woody’s Surf Shack is a bar with live music, DJ’s and a surfboard give-away every Wednesday. Try your luck to win a board, play some fooseball and have a dance.
Every Thursday, the Byron Farmers Market is on at the Cavanbah Centre from 7am-11am. Stop by and grab some fresh local produce from amazing suppliers. Remember to bring your own bag, keep cup and enjoy the community vibes.
Finish your work week off and get ready for the weekend with cocktails by the Firepit at Elements Resort 5-7pm enjoy acoustic tunes by our amazing local artists.

Dallas James is a Byron local whose music captivates everyone who comes across him. He has released his original track ‘Butterfly’ on Spotify for us all to enjoy. Dallas recently played this song at the Beach Hotel in Byron Bay and the response from the crowd demonstrated how much his music speaks to his listeners. This is just the first song release, with more to come. Make sure you are following him on Spotify to keep updated with his latest tunes!
